After spending a career in engineering and technical writing, it's time for reinvention. I've been involved in photography since college -- a Pentax Spotmatic evolved into a succession of Canon cameras and lenses, and experiments in the darkroom evolved into ... using the local Kodak processing lab. But the stars finally lined up: digital SLRs; Photoshop, the darkroom in a computer; and high-quality digital printing have made photography exciting again.

So, how better to reinvent my life but to go to the artistic extreme that I thought I had buried during my first engineering class. I expect that this site will evolve over time, both in the quality and quantity of photos as well as in the themes that reflect my interests.
