Spring Wildflowers

The Winter of 2004-2005 was a particularly wet one here in Silicon Valley. Spring brought not only sunshine but also an explosion of wildflowers in the nearby Santa Cruz Mountains. These are some samples of the beauty I found during a couple of excursions to the Russian Ridge and Long Ridge Preserves, part of the extensive area controled by the Midpeninsula Open Space District.
